DHBP Peroxide

DHBP liquid peroxide is used as a cross-linking agent for rubbers or elastomers (such as silicone, PE, EPDM). DHBP peroxides are more stable and less volatile than DCP and DTBP, which makes them a very effective curing agent for silicone and leads to higher tensile strength for silicone.

Applications of DHBP Peroxide

  1. It is used as a cross-linking agent for many polymers, including polyethylene (LDPE, HDPE), copolymers of polyethylene/vinyl acetates (EAM), silicone, etc.
  2. It is used as a viscosity modifying agent of some polyolefins. In fact, the purpose of viscosity modification is to modify the melt flow rate of a polymer by breaking its chain and thus reducing its molecular weight.
  3. For cross-linking, about 0.5 to 3 percent by weight should be added to the compounds
  4. DHBP peroxide is liquid and can be pumped, so it can be used both as direct dosing and as rolling with polymer on a roller.
