Application of Silicone in Tunneling

Today, silicone is used in harsh and adverse environmental conditions such as railway transportation systems and wagon making due to its elasticity and resistance to ozone, as well as the use of intelligentization railway lines through the signaling system (signals, communication and control) that while establishing coordination between different fleets moving on different and common routes, has the main task of establishing safety in the movement of trains and also optimizing the use of lines and rail transport systems. Due to their cohesive, durable and elastic texture, silicone tapes and sealants reduce the vibrations caused by the passing other trains and prevent damage to internal parts. In interior part of the wagons, silicone gaskets are also used to protect the electronic control units for their insulating properties, and in the LED strips inside the cabins for their heat resistance.
